Following ten years as an ensemble member at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Irish tenor Dean Power is firmly establishing himself as a solo guest artist on the international stage. Recent highlights have included his debut at the Salzburger Festspiele as Gherardo Gianni Schicchi and Venditore Il Tabarro in Christof Loy’s new production of Il Trittico, his house debut at Opéra de Lille in a new Laurent Pelly production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, creating the role of Gary in the world premiere of The First Child by Donnacha Dennehy and Enda Walsh, and Graf Elemer Arabella in his company debut at Opernhaus Zürich; a role he will reprise in his company debut at the Teatro Real, Madrid in the 2022-23 season. He will also return to the Bayerische Staatsoper Third Jew Salome and make his role debut as Ferrando Cosi fan Tutte.

ROLE DEBUT: Dean Power as Ferrando

Dean Power returns to Irish National Opera to make his debut as Ferrando in Mozart's Così fan Tutte. Conducted by Peter Whelan, Dean will sing alongside Anna Devin as Fiordiligi, Sharon Carty as Dorabella, Benjamin Russell as Guglielmo, Majella Cullagh as Despina and John Molloy as Don Alfonso.

With performances taking place at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, Così fan Tutte will open on 19 May, with Dean's further performances on 21, 23, 25, 27 (matinee), 29, 31 May and 2 June.

Following his time in Dublin, Dean with travel to Caracas in Venezuela to sing Jaquino in a semi-staged performance of Fidelio, created especially for both deaf and hearing audiences. Conducted by Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, this unique project, originally premiered with the LA Philharmonic in 2022, will be run by the Dudamel Foundation.
